Simple Fall Crafts for Kids Using Nature

Fall is the perfect time to get creative with the beautiful materials nature provides! Here are a few simple crafts you can do with your kids using items you can find outdoors.


 1. Leaf Rubbings

- Materials: Leaves, paper, crayons

- Instructions: 

  1. Collect various leaves from the ground.

  2. Place a leaf under a sheet of paper.

  3. Use a crayon to gently rub over the paper to reveal the leaf’s shape and veins. 


 2. Pine Cone Bird Feeders

- Materials: Pine cones, peanut butter, birdseed, string

- Instructions: 

  1. Spread peanut butter over the pine cone.

  2. Roll it in birdseed until fully coated.

  3. Tie a string to the top and hang it outside to feed the birds!


 3. Acorn Cap Necklaces

- Materials: Acorn caps, string, glue, beads (optional)

- Instructions: 

  1. Collect acorn caps and string them on a piece of string to create a necklace.

  2. You can add beads between acorn caps for extra decoration!


 4. Rock Painting

- Materials: Smooth rocks, acrylic paint, paintbrushes

- Instructions: 

  1. Find some smooth, flat rocks outdoors.

  2. Use paint to create fun designs or fall-themed images like pumpkins or leaves.
